The
St. Benet's Guild uses fine quality liturgical fabrics and trims
imported from Europe to make the vestments and church paraments.
On the following pages we present examples of fabrics that we can
use when designing liturgical textile projects. We also have
additional fabrics and trims that you may choose from.
If you are looking for a particular fabric or trim, please ask about it.
The
textile patterns in many of these fabrics and trims are adaptations or
reproductions of designs that date back as far as the Middle Ages.
Look at the paintings from the Renaissance period and you will find many
of the same beautiful brocade patterns and trims that we continue
to use today for traditionally styled vestments.
